# IP Whitelisting for Disbursements
Control which servers can initiate disbursements by whitelisting their public IP addresses for each API Service.
## Overview
Moolre allows users to restrict API-based fund disbursements to specific IP addresses. By whitelisting trusted IP addresses, users can control which servers or applications are authorized to initiate disbursement transactions through a specific API Service.
IP whitelisting is configured separately for each API Service. You must add the relevant IP addresses to the specific service you want to authorize for disbursements.
## How to Whitelist an IP Address for Disbursements
### Step 1: Access Your API Services
Log in to your Moolre App and navigate to API Services.
### Step 2: Select the API Service
Switch to the specific API Service you want to configure for disbursements.
If you manage multiple API Services, ensure you select the correct one before proceeding.
### Step 3: Open Security Settings
Click the Security tab within the selected API Service.
### Step 4: Select Whitelist IP for Disbursement
Under Security, select Whitelist IP for Disbursement to access the IP whitelisting settings.

### Step 5: Add the IP Address
Enter the public IP address of the server or application that will initiate API disbursement requests.
To authorize multiple servers, use Add New to add their respective IP addresses.

### Step 6: Save Your Changes
Click Save to apply your configuration.
Once saved, only the IP addresses whitelisted for that API Service can use its API to initiate disbursements.
## Important Notes
- **Service-specific configuration:** IP whitelisting applies to the API Service where it is configured. Repeat the process for each API Service that requires disbursement access.
- **Use the correct public IP address:** Enter the public IP address from which your server sends requests to Moolre.
- **Multiple IP addresses:** Add every server IP address that needs authorization to initiate disbursements.
- **IP address changes:** Update your whitelist if your server's public IP address changes.
- **API security:** Keep your API credentials secure. IP whitelisting provides an additional layer of protection but does not replace secure API key management.
This whitelist authorizes outgoing disbursement requests from your servers. Moolre's callback source IP addresses are for incoming payment notifications and are documented separately.

## Troubleshooting
If your disbursement requests fail after configuring IP whitelisting:
1. Confirm that you selected the correct API Service.
2. Verify that your server's public IP address has been added to the whitelist.
3. Ensure you saved your changes.
4. Confirm that your request uses the API credentials associated with the selected API Service.
